Mobile learning

"The "fourth screen" - mobile devices (the first three are TV, computers, movies) - continues to grow in focus. I think it's imperative that learning professionals (designers, teachers/trainers, administrators) start thinking mobile. While much learning will continue to happen on computers, f2f, or blended means, communication itself is shifting from the desktop to mobiles. Computers are for doing things. Phones are for communicating...and the more prominent conversations (socialization) becomes in the learning process, the more central mobile devices will be. A personal computer to carry in your pocket: "The newest screen is evolving to adopt more and more characteristics of a personal computer. And many believe that the next big shift will be the convergence of many forms of communication encompassing voice, e-mail, instant messaging and video telephony." ...and Apple has just announced their new iPhone "
